TRUBLU 4130

Designed as a school racing trike to be durable, reliable and easy for students to ride fast. Based on the principles of simplicity and efficiency for schools pedal prix racing with minimal frontal area for best aerodynamic profile.

Built from 4130 chromoly to give long term durability, lightness and the ability for schools to modify in future years with standard welding techniques. This trike is designed to allow race winning performance. We understand that teachers often take the burden of preparing trikes for races so parts used are picked for their ability to continue working well with only minimal maintenance.

Features

The instantly adjustable rider length (typically takes only 2 seconds) allows a 250mm range of rider lengths to share one trike effectively providing better efficiency, comfort and safety. This feature makes the TRUBLU 4130 the safest and most efficient racing trike available exceeded only by the TRUBLU spaceframe.

The rider headrest has been ergonomically designed to support the shoulders and neck whilst preventing any pressure on sensitive vertebrae. The headrest also ensures seatbelts stay in correct position over the rider's shoulders. The low centre of gravity means higher cornering speeds are safely attainable and improves rider safety by reducing tendency to rollover. Slide out axles take only seconds to swap wheels and allow use in fairings/bodyshells with closed sides and better aerodynamic efficiency. Adjustable Ackermann steering geometry also allows the trike to be set up for optimal cornering.

Nighthawk Fairing Kit Fitted On TRUBLU 4130

This kit is the result of long-term racing development in cooperation with our customers. It is aimed at producing a fairing with speed competitive with composite models. Aerodynamic testing and race experience have shown this has been achieved while still allowing the fairing to be built by enthusiasts with minimal tools and equipment yet still maintaining good durability and lightweight.

To ensure the best result in both speed and aesthetics it is necessary to be patient and attentive to details. The lightweight design allows the bubble windscreen, centre windscreen and rear hatch to be easily removed for access or changeover during race if required. A rear mudguard is also included and is kept in position by velcro for easy access to the rear wheel and derailleur.

The bubble windscreen when Velcro mounted can also be adjusted for additional defogging/ventilation mid-race. Why spend thousands on composites that are no faster. A great team building and learning exercise – students can take pride in their work racing around the track. Can be vinyl wrapped for a more aesthetically pleasing effect.

TRUBLU spaceframe

Designed as the ultimate schools racing trike to be durable, reliable and easy for students to ride fast.

Based on the principles of simplicity and efficiency for schools pedal prix racing with minimal frontal area for best aerodynamic profile. The framework of the spaceframe allows for the best power transfer to the rear wheel, maximum strength and rider protection combined with minimum weight and absolute cornering ability. This allows riders to avoid crashes and maintain high-speed in corners resulting in the highest possible average speed. A point proven in 2016 Wonthaggi HPV race where despite being the overall race winner and holding the fastest lap the trike never suffered a single rollover. A vehicle that’s less likely to roll will reduce the likelihood of injury to riders, as well as being faster and minimising accidents, thus reducing the cost in both time and money required for repairs.

Built from 4130 chromoly to give long term durability and the ability for schools to modify in future years with standard welding techniques. This trike is designed to allow race winning performance. We understand that teachers often take the burden of preparing trikes for races so parts used are picked for their ability to continue working well with only minimal maintenance.

Features

The instantly adjustable rider length (typically takes only 2 seconds) allows a 280mm range of rider lengths to share one trike effectively providing better efficiency, comfort and safety. This feature makes the TRUBLU the safest and most efficient racing trike available.
The rider headrest has been ergonomically designed to support the shoulders and neck whilst preventing any pressure on sensitive vertebrae. The headrest also ensures seatbelts stay in correct position over the riders shoulders.

The very low centre of gravity (75mm seat height) means higher cornering speeds are safely attainable and improves rider safety by reducing tendency to rollover.

Slide out axles take only seconds to swap wheels for use in fairings/bodyshells with closed sides and better aerodynamic efficiency, while adjustable Ackermann steering geometry allows the trike to be set up for optimal cornering.

Nighthawk Fairing Kit

This kit is the result of long-term racing development in cooperation with our customers. It is aimed at producing a fairing with speed competitive and composite models. Aerodynamic testing and race experience has shown this has been achieved while still allowing the fairing to be built by enthusiasts/students with minimal tools and equipment yet still maintaining good durability and lightweight. To ensure the best result in both speed and aesthetics it is necessary to be patient and attentive to details.

The lightweight design allows the bubble windscreen, centre windscreen and rear hatch to be easily removed for access or changeover during race if required. A rear mudguard is also included, again velcroed in position for easy access to the rear wheel and derailleur. The bubble windscreen when velcro mounted can also be adjusted for additional defogging/ventilation mid-race.

The kit design means that over time parts/panels can be replaced if damaged without adding unnecessary weight unlike what can happen with composite vehicles that tend to gain weight with every race repair.
